Hand painted, glaze painted, black clay mug
This mug is made as part of a collaborative project between two Guelph based artists. Thrown by Chris Hierlihy using black clay, the mug measures approximately 3.5" tall x 3.5" around and hold approximately 14 fluid ounces. It is handpainted by Shawna Cooper with underglazes and fired at cone 6. This mug was then hand painted with transparent glaze in some areas, contrasting raw clay and glazed areas, including the "rivers" from the landscape inspired painting, and dots, creating a jewel like design. The interior of the mug is fully glazed making the mug usable food safe.
There is only one of these available at the moment but it is an artist's favourite, as such orders will be taken for this style of mug and glazing. Please email email@example.com to place orders.
